“A new report released today by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that New Jersey hospitals continue to improve the quality and safety of care they provide to New Jersey residents. In this most recent report, the CDC data shows that hospitals’ quality improvement efforts are yielding significant reductions in many types of infections that may be linked to a hospital stay.

“Garden State hospitals have joined NJHA in a statewide initiative called Partnership for Patients-New Jersey, which is focused on improving healthcare quality and safety. I’ve been a nurse for more than 40 years, and adverse events like infections can occur in a setting as complex as a hospital. It’s very rewarding to see the commitment and best efforts of New Jersey’s healthcare professionals reflected in hard data that shows our work is resulting in better care and better outcomes.”
