Bill Arnold, 2024 Board Chair
Bill Arnold is executive vice president of RWJBarnabas Health, CEO of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and President of the RWJBarnabas Health Southern Region. He has been with the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for more than 25 years.
He was appointed to the NJHA Board in 2019 and served as chair of the Policy Development Committee in 2023. He also chairs the Executive Committee and Executive Compensation Committee, as well as serves on the Nominating Committee. He has also served as chair of the Finance, and Audit and Compliance committees. In 2024 in his role as NJHA Chair he also serves ex-officio on the HRET and HBS Boards.
Arnold has served as president and CEO of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick since 2021. His role as President, Southern Region for RWJBarnabas Health, also encompasses Monmouth Medical Center, Monmouth South and Community Medical Center. Prior to his promotion to the regional role in 2019, he served as President and CEO of Monmouth Medical Center and The Unterberg Children’s Hospital.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Stetson University and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University. In addition to his service to NJHA, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, VNA Health Group, Boys & Girls Club of Asbury Park and the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation. His prior board memberships have included the American Red Cross Jersey Coast Chapter and Long Branch’s Federally Qualified Health Center.
